Wizz air car seat

Hi, has anyone taken a car seat on a wizz air flight recently?

We need one the end and hire is excessive and due to the time of the flight and how small my ds is I think it would be beneficial compared to expecting him to happily stay in his seat.

I think their information is quite vague so looking for recent first hand experience if anyone can help. Other than it needing to be rear facing and have a 'latch' it doesn't give any information and I know some airlines have width restrictions. Both of the car seats we have at home are inappropriate so looking to buy a cheap one just for the holiday if we can.

Thanks

I think the wizzair policy basically only allows infant carriers. So unless your son is small enough to fit into an infant carrier, you'll be screwed unfortunately.

I think Joie Juva has the flight approval and is fairly roomy and cheap. Or you could try to find the old (non i-size) Maxi Cosi Cabriofix.

Strange but it doesn’t sounds like they allow anything other than infant carriers.

If he’s any older than that then it’s probably a moot point anyway because as far as I’m aware there are no airline approved toddler seats currently on sale in the UK. He’ll likely be fine in the airline seat with you sat next to him though so long as you come armed with snacks and the ipad! And then if you want a portable toddler car seat for travel then maybe look at the maxi cosi nomad.

How old is your son?

This is my concern from lack of information.

@henrysugar12 he has just turned two but only 11kg and 83cm so a little tot who I don't imagine will be very happy having to sit still and strapped in.

Just going to have to hope for the best.
