Cambridgeshire for a short break

I've never visited Cambridgeshire. Is the city of Cambridge worth a visit, or are there other picturesque towns/areas I can visit in spring/autumn? I will be travelling by train so if there's a train station nearby, that would be a bonus. Thanks.

Cambridge is lovely and there’s definitely enough to fill a few days. You could take the train to Ely - the cathedral there is stunning. Anglesey Abby is lovely to visit in Autumn. Cambridge is great, my favourite town. Nice shopping, the fitz museum, botanical gardens, punting.
