Cambridgeshire for a short break

I've never visited Cambridgeshire. Is the city of Cambridge worth a visit, or are there other picturesque towns/areas I can visit in spring/autumn? I will be travelling by train so if there's a train station nearby, that would be a bonus. Thanks.

Cambridge is lovely and there’s definitely enough to fill a few days. You could take the train to Ely - the cathedral there is stunning. Anglesey Abby is lovely to visit in Autumn. It’s possible to get there by bus, but personally I’d recommend hiring bikes in Cambridge and cycling as it’s totally flat and quite scenic https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/cambridgeshire/anglesey-abbey-gardens-and-lode-mill/cycle-from-cambridge-to-anglesey-abbey

Cambridge is great, my favourite town. Nice shopping, the fitz museum, botanical gardens, punting.
