Advice on train tickets for Berlin

Hi, can anyone advise on the best train tickets to purchase for the following when we arrive on Weds:

For x3 classed as adults and x1 child
evening 1: airport to hotel in ostenbahnhof
Then train to and from centre/somewhere to eat
day 1: train to and from centre (or maybe walking one way) - doing a walking tour, ddr museum and reistag
day 2 train to memorial to murdered jews and mooching around
Train back to ostenbahnhof then train to main station (we are going to Munich)

I can’t work out all the ticket type options. Maybe it’s best doing journey by journey?

thanks

How many hours is it from your first journey on evening 1 to your journey to the main station on Day 2?

Look at the man in seat 61. He’ll tell you how to do it fastest/cheapest etc.

You could do two 24 hour small group tickets - which zones will depend on which airport. This gives you unlimited journeys, but you have to all be travelling together.

https://sbahn.berlin/en/tickets/all-tickets/group-tickets/day-ticket-for-small-groups/?tabs=tbc-t1

24hr tickets are otherwise €9.50/€10.70 for adults and €6/€6.50 for children aged 6-14.

Single tickets for one journey (within 2 hours) are €3.20/€4.00 for an adult and €2/€2.99 for 6-14s. If the journey is less than 3 stops, the price is lower €2.20 for adults or €1.70 for 6-14s. You can also buy books of 4 tickets at a reduced price.

If it was me, I’d probably go for 24h tickets as then I wouldn’t then be deciding whether any journey was worth the money but just doing any journey I want to.

I think the group tickets should work out cheaper than buying individual 24h tickets, unless you plan to split up and not travel as a group at all times.

Day ticket for small groups

Group ticket for max. 5 people.

How long will you be in Munich for and do you intend to use public transport there? Depending on this could just get a Deutschland ticket (49€ valid for a calendar month on all local and regional trains) as could be cheaper or same price?
