Anyone been to Prague recently

Ii read that you need to have your passport on you at all times.
Is this true? Did you do this?
Or did you do a photocopy or would our UK driving license suffice (DP thinks our UK license isn't valid id in Czeckia).

I believe you do need to have your passport at all times, not sure if a copy would suffice. We just had ours on us all the time in a sling bag we wore on our fronts (we usually do anyways when abroad)

I have been to Prague recently and wasn’t aware of this. My passport stayed in the hotel safe.

We went just before last Christmas and passports were in the safe in the room the whole time.
No mention of this unless it's a very new rule .

Yeah. That looks like exactly what he was reading. It was thd for id bit that I was thinking we could get away without hard passport..
