Just back from 10 days at Martinhal Sagres and had a fabulous time but did not enjoy flying with two children who will be 2 and 6 next year. Thinking for next summer to maybe drive but wondered if there were anywhere else in Europe we could look at, as the Algarve is a hefty drive. If it happened to be cheaper that would also be a bonus.
In terms of what we are looking for, it's villa (2 bed) accomodation and some form of children's club for the younger ones. A lot of the ones I've seen start at 5 and we need something for the 2 year old as well. It doesn't need to be by the sea, but it would be nice to have good weather (which is what puts us off staying in the UK. Without exception every UK holiday we have taken, even in the south in August the weather has been miserable).
