Last minute holiday ideas

We haven't been abroad for 7 years, so have decided to see if we can get a lastminute holiday.

We need to fly from East Midlands Airport on Friday 25th August and be back on 1 Sept.

There are 4 of us (me, DH, DS5 and DD1).

We are really shocked at the prices (its been 7 years!) and have a limited budget of £2k max.

I like the sound of Club Mac in Spain but it's sadly overbudget.

I've looked at Jet2 holidays with "free child places". Are they likely to be the cheapest option?

Is it cheaper to go into a travel agent for help?

I think its the Tui site where you can put in your dates and airport and leave the destination as 'any'

Try that and see what comes back? Is 2k including spends?

Try tui and jet2 but flying over a weekend in August is going to be every expensive. It maybe better to consider going AL and factoring that into your budget.

Do you all have up to date passports?

Ryanair flights to portugal are £685 plus a bag to share to probably £800.

I has hoped to go all inclusive, to ensure everything fits into the £2k.

I definitely don't want to do self catering as I'm so so fed up of meal planning and cooking, so would like a week off 🤣

Also put your dates in EasyJet holidays too. Put all destinations and see what comes up.
