Supplements in pill organiser

I take a variety of supplements daily and usually put them into a 7 day pill organiser. Would it be ok to travel with this in my suitcase? Or should they be in their individual bottles. I buy in bulk so it is easier to just take the organiser! Thanks

I’d keep them in their individual bottles I think, so the ingredients are listed in case you’re stopped and checked. Could you just take a weeks worth in each bottle? And where are you going? I’d be more worried in eg Peru than France!

You're always advised to carry prescription medication in its original packaging, so I think supplements would be subject to just the same level of scrutiny. Otherwise, you've got a suitcase that contains pills/powders/etc of indeterminate origin.

Dh just took his loose in a freezer bag in the case. Nothing was checked.

I travel a lot and always put them in a pill organizer. Never had any issues. I take way too many to take all the full sized bottles!

I feel so out of touch, it’s been a long time since we have travelled anywhere. Planned to take prescribed medications in their boxes in my hand luggage just the supplements to consider

I’ve taken supplements in a pill organiser in hand luggage, no problem

It really depends on where you're going. For example, I wouldn't take a pill organiser into Doha or you're asking for trouble. If you're going to Scotland, fine,

I always have my supplements in organiser and did so even in Doha, Iran, Israel, no issues whatsoever. Easier than taking the whole bottles

I was behind someone in Doha who was made to throw all her supplements away because she couldn't prove what they were because they were just in a pill organiser.

I've always just packed mine in my hold luggage, never had an issue. Prescription medication I have kept in my hand luggage, just for access normally.

LaLaFlottes · 30/07/2023 16:17

Could you take photos of each of the supplements so you can show that if asked?

Taylorscat · 30/07/2023 21:43

I took mine in a pill organiser last week with no issues - hadn’t even occurred to me there might be !

If it's prescription, definitely keep it in the packaging. Somewhere like Qatar will want to check it's allowed in the country. They checked my HRT, taking it out of the box and cross-checking it to their list of allowed meds.
