Dubrovnik guesthouse / hotel recommendations

I'm looking for recommendations of a lovely guesthouse / hotel with a pool for a short 5 day romantic getaway for myself and dh in Dubrovnik.

We would ideally like a smaller guesthouse, rustic type place, but open to bigger, modern hotels if not too busy. If not walkable, we would like to get to Dubrovnik by short taxi or bus.

Our budget is not massive, but happy with up to £250 per night.

Really want to get it right for our only holiday this year, so any recommendations would be great!

Open to other areas too if you have any top picks!

I was there last month. I don’t think your budget will get you a pool in Dubrovnik centre, but possibly Lapad which is a bus/taxi ride away. We stayed there one night. Just pick location carefully as up the top is very isolated from restaurants & shops - 500 steps to the harbour. I found Lapad quite small but I know people love it.

We stayed in Dubrovnik about 15/20 min walk from the old in the most amazing apartment, it is uphill/up steps though. You have access to the private beach of the hotel down the bottom of the steps.

Sun Gardens may be worth a look. Great hotel.
