Can anyone help with security and formula

Can I take formula through security if it's been dispensed into a formula pot ? Also can I take the water ready in the bottle ?
Been a long time since I've been abroad with a baby and can't remember what's allowed

Yes you can take whatever you need for a baby, I never had any issues.

Also formula powder should be added to water at 70 degrees and not cool boiled...it's the powder that needs sterilised, not the water!

I took an empty flask through and asked a cafe once airside to fill it with boiling water, and made bottles from that.

Yes you can, be prepared to wait until they check every single bottle though. Go early.

Yeah I know, but baby is dairy free and on an amino acid based formula so it can't be added to hot water, we have to add it to cooled boiled water instead.

And yeah I was going to take the empty flask and get it filled once through there too

You can also pre order ready made stuff to collect from boots after security if the airport has a boots

I didn't have to taste the water, I took it through in a flask and they put it in a machine to check it. Really straightforward, had no issues at all have a great time!
