Ferry mistake. Anyone with advise or experience dealing with Direct ferries

Am gutted, that ive stupidly booked my ferries the wrong way around
So instead of travelling from Dover to Calais, I've booked Calais to Dover and them vice versa for my journey home
I have tried to speak to someone about switching it, all done via email as there is no phone number. And after them initially being helpful, they are now saying there isn't any availability for the days I'm requesting. Despite there being plenty of availability on the website for 4 different ferries.
Also when I tried to search Dover to Calais, I noticed that it got switched on their website
Which makes me question if it wasn't entirely my fault. I'm so upset, it's £250 to rebook. And they are being so unhelpful, just repeatedly saying there is no ferry. And I think this is false, as otherwise they have a website full of journeys they don't have
Would appreciate if anyone has had any dealings, or advise. As the holiday is less than 3 weeks away, and I'm so worried I've really messed it all up
Thanks

don’t bother questioning this. It was your fault!

How long ago did you book?

Did you book a flexi ticket by any chance which would allow you to change?

I've done the same (accidentally booked wrong way round)

I booked it in May

Sadly not. They charge £100 fee to make it flexi. So it seemed expensive when the ticket was £220 to start with, and admin fee to make alterations costs £10.

I was questioning myself. But thank you for clarifying
