DD wont travel well at all! Help needed please

Still trying to overcome a stressful bus journey from Oxford-London (was a must- passport renewals) yesterday hoping she would travel better in a bus but that was not the case!

She hates being restricted by straps (same in pushchair)and basically sitting still.
She will scream, (higher and higer and higher....) cry, shout, spits the whole sage basically.

Anybody have any tips at all? Really like to be able to use the car or bus so we can go somewhere!(havent been to my parents for well over a yesr now as the last trip was so stressful!!)

How old is she? Can she tell you why she doesn't like travelling?

here , she's 2 1/2 ish . tbh a long bus trip with a child that age is ambitious in anybody's book. At least on a train you cna mvoe around or look out of the window.

I think you need to plan for lots of short trips initially, to fun places, or break a longer journey down into stages with stops to burn off energy and frustration or vary the transport ie car or train to plane. Offering rewards for sitting nicely and not screaming (stickers perhaps ?)might work too and take lots fo short attention span activities.
