I am taking my 2 year old to Spain. He has just started having full blown tantrums so I am a little bit worried about the plane journey and safety around the pool.
We are booking into a hotel with B&B so I think that part will work well although I am now wondering if we should upgrade to half board?
Do people take their own snacks with them or just buy stuff when they get there?
Any other tips around making the trip enjoyable? I am absolutely shattered from the daily grind of life and really need to get away but I am worried its just going to be a week of me chasing DS around. We are right next to the beach and I know he will sit there for hours playing in the sand and the water is very shallow so we can have a gentle paddle.
We also have a trip planned to a water park with a huge splash pad so I know he will enjoy that and the older kids (Teenagers) can go off on their own and go on all the slides etc so I am quite looking forward to that.
Do people maintain their routines will little ones when they go away? I am not particularly bothered by bed times being later but how do naps work?
Sorry if these are really basic questions. I have only ever taken much older children on holiday so this is all new for me.
