Winter Breaks Long Haul

Thinking of going away sometime between November and January. Thinking Caribbean or South America? Only for 1 week though so going to Asia is too far with the jet lag.

Want a week of pampering, nice hotel, history, good food BUT I don't want to spend silly money. Maybe £2000-£2500 all in (without including flights! as we'll do these on airmiles in business class)

BodyHoliday in St Lucia. Excellent food and serious pampering.

Not sure South America is better on the jet lag. I’d stick to the Caribbean as flight times too would be better.

I can recommend The Island Inn, in Barbados. Small/boutique hotel (only 24 rooms), all inclusive - but good value so you can afford to be flexible about eating out if you want to. That said, the food is really good too. Close to the Garrison savannah, George Washington house, Bridgetown. As well as lovely beaches nearby. We went for 10 days recently and it cost us less than £2500. (It may be more expensive if you're looking to go in high season though)
