Where can we go, somewhere around Sheffield / Nottingham, where the kids will be entertained while my school friend and I catch up.

This thursday is the plan, and the weather forecast is poor. Are the oldest kids too big for soft play now?

Hi, Clumsymum,

Don't know your area very well at all but one place we keep meaning to visit is "Conkers" which is near Nottingham.

My eldest two (age 10 and 7) wouldn't be seen in a soft play place for anything, but they love ice skating, climbing walls and anything outdoorsy like big play parks and cycling, could you not all dress really warmly? and take soup, then go to a cafe to warm up properly later on.

Or take them to a museum/art gallery, they sometimes have workshops they can participate in.
