Krakow, Poland with a toddler

Am intending to go to Krakow next spring with DH and DS, who will be just over one by then. Anyone been? Anyone know how babyfriendly (or not!) Poland is?

TIA

Haven't been, but I'm jealous! My Polish friend is coming round in a few days; I'll try to remember to ask her these questions and report back.

OOH, lovely. I went years ago when I was at uni - keep meaning to go back. No idea about babyfriendliness I'm afraid, but the cloth market in the middle of hte town square had loads of brilliant and very cheap wooden toys, so that should go down well! Ds loves the various Krakow dragons I bought there, and my king who walks down an angled plank.

Poland is generally child-friendly in that Poles love children and make a big fuss of them, but I'm afraid I don't know about facilities. sorry. Krakow is lovely though.

We went to Krakow (and Warsaw) in spring 2003 when dd1 was 3.2 and dd2 was 18 months. On the whole it was very child friendly, but then our expectations might not be the same as yours as we travel very light and stay in very basic places and our kids adapt. What did you want to know about?
Generally I can say from experience that as previously mentioned, they adore kids over there. If you're going to visit anyone in their homes be prepared for your children to be stuffed with chocolate and yogurt and eat no proper food whatsoever! Apart from that everywhere we went no-one made any issue out of the kids being there and we just did everything we wanted.
It's a beautiful city. Have a great time! If you post anything else, I'll try to answer any questions if I can!
