Fast track security Stansted in summer hols?

Hi I am travelling on my own with a teenager and two children (9) and (6) from London Stansted to Girona in summer hols - weekday. Flight is 11am. Do I need to pay for Fastpass track? I have flown years ago but it was never a thing. If it helps avoid queues I will
happily pay but not sure if really works?

Stansted has big queues at security. Fast track is definitely worth it.

I disagree. Stansted has big queues, yes, but it is also a very well oiled machine with lots of queues and security belts and staff. I fly through Stansted at least 3-4 times a year, and it is never anything but rammed. But you always get through fairly quickly.

We use fast track @ Stansted - security outbound & passport control inbound.
Both worth it IMO.

You can’t really predict it. Sometimes there are queues and it pays off. Sometimes even in holiday periods the queues are short. IME it’s a bit of a gamble as to whether it’s worth it.
I pay usually if I know I won’t want to or be able to get there much before the flight (so early morning or after work/school) so that I am not stressing about getting through security in time. For an 11am flight is just get there at 9 and save the cash.

Thank you all for your feedback. Interesting! I am not sure I will get there for 9 actually for lots of reasons so I think I might try it out. Thank you for your helpful feedback!

You’ll find lots of people using it so don’t expect to stroll through.
I’ve never had a problem at Stansted and even the worst airport in the world (Luton) has improved. I wouldn’t waste your money.

Stansted is hell on earth compared to every other airport I have used. Anything to get through quicker is worth it.
I don't know how much it costs there but I paid £5 each for Leeds Bradford last year and it was well worth it.
