Romantic Greek island?

Looking for a Romantic Greek island to go to. Can either fly into Athens or Santorini.

We adored Folegandros about five years ago. We have also stayed in Santorini but these days it’s far far too busy and overpriced.

Can anyone make any recommendations? We’ll be travelling in June to avoid school hols and hopefully the australians. Just kidding, dp is Ozzie and couldn’t believe how many people from his home city there were when we visited Mykonos last.

I would say Alonissos but it’s best to fly to Skiathos, is that an option? It’s a really lovely island if you’re ok with pebbly beaches.

Astypalea might fit the bill, you can fly there from Athens or ferry from Santorini I think

Antiparos is supposed to be gorgeous, it became known for celeb visits so may be overdeveloped now but worth a look.

Folegandros is on my wish list!

If you want to escape then fly to Corfu and get the ferry to any of the Diapontian islands (Orthonoi, Mathraki or Erikoussa) - they are gloriously unspoilt, quiet and a wee haven of what Greece used to be like! If you want quiet but with a bit more 'life' then you could get the ferry to Paxos.

We flew into Rhodes, taxi to the old town and then a 1 hour ferry.

There were very few children there - its quite an adult destination and completely beautiful.

Milos is beautiful and unspoilt and accessible from santorini

Loved Nouassa on Paros. Such a lovely little town. And a beautiful island.
