Anyone been to Thailand ?

My parents in law are going to Thailand soon and have asked me if there is anything I would like bought back, havnt got a clue, any ideas? Please save me from potential tacky present situation. I suggested a cook/ cleaner/ nanny/ladyboy, but it fell on deaf ears.

hehehehe. You can get nice hippy type clothes and buddha statues or carvings. Long as its sold by the person who makes it, not mass produced tat.
They going to Phuket? Lots of tat and ladyboys there.

lots of prescription drugs, you can buy almost anything, i stock up on betnovate.

We brought back Thai cushions. They are sort of triangular with a long flap for lolling on on the floor. Really comfy.

Oh and I wish I'd brought back some artwork. Beautiful paintings on silk, wood carvings etc etc.

Oh, and fake anything. Luggage/handbags are a good buy.

serving spoons, salad servers, rosewood bowls. 3 tier laquer picnic boxes.

You can get beautiful stainless steel cutlery and tableware - bowls, serving platters etc.

Like this. Obv it is heavy but the salad servers and serving spoons are nice. It goes in the dishwasher too.
