Recommendations for holidays abroad for single parent

Hi,
I haven't been abroad in 9 years, and I'm not fussed for it but my ds is desperate to go on a plane.
I'd like to go somewhere not too fair, Spain most likely. Can anyone recommend a holiday destination where there's lots of activities for children aged 6-10. He's very active and won't sit by the pool or day.
Thank you

Im a single parent and we’ve done a variety of things.

Once did an AI in Greece, which might be too far - not all AI has to be sitting by a pool though, and at least you know food is covered

Weve done a European Center Parcs which is great if your ds likes to be active

Also have done city breaks with the kids to (so far) Amsterdam, Paris and Stockholm. All good.

I'm not a single parent but dh doesn't like holidays abroad so have always gone with just me and DD.
When she was younger we loved Menorca (Cala Galdana) and Portugal (Alvor)

AI are definitely the easiest holidays with kids. With my daughter I have not been to mainland Spain, but we absolutely loved the Cyprotel Faleraki in Rhodes. Great kids club and choice of pools and waterslides
