Weekend trip ... advanced driving? or something? And Roman ruins ... does this exist?

I want a weekend retreat, somewhere child-friendly, where DH can do an advanced driving course or something (handbrake turns, that kind of thing), and DS1 can see Roman ruins ... any ideas?

Or am I looking for something imaginary ...

I've been meaning to take the kids to Fishbourne ROman Palace but have no idea about the driving bit (though I think some would arge the M23/A23 is perfect for it )

Where is Fishbourne Roman Palace?

I hear Bath is good for Roman stuff. (DS1, helpfully, wants to go to Rome. Ideally for half term. )

can't remember...somewhere in Sussex I think. I have memories of it being nearish to Arundel but I may have that completely wrong! If you google it, it should come up.

Try Goodwood Circuit www.goodwood.co.uk/circuithire/ near to Fishbourne.

definitely agree with Goodwood/Fishbourne and that area. There is a hotel at Goodwood. Or Chichester might run an advanced driving course.

www.drivingschoolschichester.co.uk may be a good place to start.
