February half term - holiday ideas

Hi - does anyone have any ideas for last minute holidays for half term? We have two young children ( not teenagers), quite fancy taking them on airplane. We have Bournemouth and Southampton nearby. Budget approx. £300 person. Or would consider the UK?

I have taken my children for a week in a four star hotel with room with kitchenette, near Malaga for less than £800 for February half term. We’ve done that three times now. Hotel gorgeous, weather lovely - not too hot, locals smiley and happy to see you because it’s the very beginning of the holiday season. Easy Jet flights booked as early as possible then book the hotel via its site. Need spending money once you get there obvs but the kitchen and self catering a few days we are there keep those costs down.

What about Ireland

Really is a nice hotel. My teens have been all over but they always say going there is their favourite. Really good location and bus/train links to travel up and down the coast to other towns and even into Malaga for the day - only about 45 minutes on the train.

The Channel islands! We have been to Guernsey and Jersey- both times from Southampton airport.

I was going to Channel Islands too. We've been to jersey and guernsey in feb half term and really enjoyed both.

where do people generally book these? Lastminte.com seems expensive?

I booked the Channel Islands direct through Blue skies airline then the hotels often directly as well.
