Hotels in/near Chania Crete

We're looking to go to Chania in Crete this year. It's a milestone birthday year for us both so we're willing to spend a bit more, ideally half board or AI. No DC.

We'd like to be as close to Chania itself as possible but everything seems a way out. Can anyone recommend a hotel please?

I'd recomend not doing A.I or half board in chania tbh if your going without kids. The old town is gorgeous and it's so much better to eat out there rather than be stuck in a hotel in the evening. We stayed at Mama Nena about five years ago and it was gorgeous and very central right in the old town. Would highly recommend!
