has anyone been to Krabi? Any tips?

we are going to be in krabi next week feeling a bit unsure of whether we'd be better to stay onan island? Koh Lanta
we like history scenery snorkelling eating if that helps

The Christmas before covid my ex and I flew into Krabi and went to Koh Lanta, we stayed at a beautiful resort called Anda Lanta. It was an amazing oasis of calm and Chill. The beach was essentially private to the hotel, aside from a couple of small beach bars and restaurants. You could hire scooters and take taxis to bigger hotels and other places on the island. It was so perfect for what we wanted. We stayed at the Anda Lanta resort in Krabi for a few days before we flew back and it was very luxurious but we most definitely preferred the less fancy resort on Koh Lanta (it was no way basic just a bit more chilled).

Also, we went on a fantastic snorkelling trip where a boat picks you up. You can also snorkel on the bay the beach is on but it isn't as good xxx

That all sounds great . I got a very good deal on a hotel in krabi so I'm going to look at the one you recommended and maybe try for a couple of nights there.

Check the travel times. We got a cab all the way from one hotel to the other quite reasonably feel free to PM me if you go as have some restaurant recommendations if they're still there

Sorry I realised I repeated where we stayed in Krabi. In Krabi we actually stayed at Amari Vogue and in Koh Lanta it was Anda Lanta resort

I can't DM anyone as only using a phone but I'd absolutely love some recommendations for restaurants please
