Dp and I went for one night this Sat (his sis looked after the boys) and I just wanted to come on here and rave about it. If anyone is looking for a really special treat for themselves plus partner, this is it. Lovely room (we got a four poster bed even though I only went for the cheapest 'traditional guest room'), really great staff (friendly and helpful rather than condescending) fabulous food, wonderful spa (we didn't do any treatments but it was great just relaxing in or near the pools, and dp quite enjoyed the 'thermal experience' with saunas etc.). You can go in the spa before checking in and after checking out of the hotel, as well as the time you are a hotel guest, so we effectively got two days at the spa as well as the hotel room, dinner and breakfast.
It's not cheap by any means, but we felt we deserved a treat as ds2 has been ill so we missed our anniversary in early Dec, didn't get any presents for each other at Christmas, and we both have birthdays end Jan/early Feb. I would honestly thoroughly recommend it if you want a really special treat and you have the money to spare. (I know those are big 'ifs'...)
