Christmas tropical holiday

After a stressful year and Christmas spent sick in bed we’ve decided to book something lovely for next year. Thinking maybe Thailand, Malaysia or Seychelles but open to any ideas. Kids will be 10, 8 and 5. Ideally I’d like a beach villa within a hotel. Any recommendations?

This sounds perfect, following as am having similar thoughts for next Christmas!

Oh i need to follow this, Just today I've looked at Cape Verde, but cant seem to find good flights.

Mauritius is nice, very hot at this time I believe.

I’d look at something with direct flights - speaking from experience. Nothing more stressful than worrying about transfers etc. We go long haul every Christmas but I would only do direct with a fly & flop holiday

I'm so tempted to do this too after similar issues. However I am holding back because almost without exception I have sick kids at the start of the xmas holidays ever year.

I'd be so sad to book it and have it ruined I'm put off. Negative and unhelpful view point- surely they can't be ill every year !?

I was worrying about that too Caramelized. But I’d be willing to take the risk.
Love the expression “fly and flop”! But I would like some sort of culture / things to see and do outside of a hotel. Also we can probably only go away for 7 days realistically.
