It is their Christmas present but only organising it for them now. They like traditional and central. Need somewhere nice and comfortable but that won't break the bank. Any ideas?

THanks

I know a great one!

Hotel Dauphine in St Germain area, close walk to the Seine, across the river to Notre Dame, can walk to the Louvre. Close to the metros. It's location is great.

Lots of wonderful places to eat nearby.

I stayed there with my mum and ds.

WRONG ONE!!! Got confused with road name and hotel name!

Same road, but the one we stayed in was Le Regent Hotel, 61 rue Dauphine

You need Anna888 - she lives in Paris!

I will send her over here if she surfaces today

I can second staying in the St Germain district though; I used to live in Paris and it is my favourite area; that and Montmartre.
