Ischia - Where To Stay

Hi guys.
For anyone that has been to Ischia - would you say that Forio or Ischia town are nicer? Also - any particular accommodation recommendations for 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 4 and 6).
Thanks in advance.

I'd stay in Ischia town as there are more facilities. It's easy to get round by bus - it's not a big island and you can walk to the Castello/Port etc. We have booked here for next May: www.ischiabluresort.com/en/

It's worth noting that the centre of the island is quite hilly, so I'd look carefully at locations if you don't fancy a massive climb back to accommodation.

You know they’ve just had a huge landslide there? I’d be very careful where you stay. The problem is that people have built illegally on hills making some of the buildings incredibly unsafe.

I would look elsewhere given recent events.

I'm not sure I missed that. I obviously haven't been paying attention to world news! Thanks for the info

Not all of Ischia is at risk though - that news report above refers to whole of Italy.
