Flying into Cagliari in September for a week.
Thinking of 2nights in Cagliari and then wanting a hotel or resort by a lovely beach within an hour of the city for 5 nights.

no idea where to stay. Feel like I’m going round in circles.

please help.

We stayed at the Cormoran hotel in Villasimius. It’s really geared up for families so not sure whether it’s quite what you’re after but we loved it.

Thanks. I’ve just booked 3 nights at a hotel by the beach in this town. The sea looks beautiful.
did you eat out locally?
Any recommendations?

We stayed at the Hotel Regina Margherita in Cagliari.
It's primarily a business hotel, so standards are very high - the Italians won't put up with poor food/service !

We had a snacky lunch in a few cafes and got some gorgeous street food, but can’t remember any names. We also got a boat tour to Isola dei Cavoli from Capo Carbonara, and did wine tasting at Colline del Vento.

I’m thinking of booking this hotel for 1 night when we arrive!
so you’d recommend it?

Was the wine tasting good? I’d love to do that.
did you drive there or get a taxi?

Chia laguna is amazing
If not there, then the Pullman Timi

I hope i get back there soon! Enjoy

It was one of the highlights of the trip. I contacted the vineyard before hand to ask the best way of getting there and they offered to pick me up and drop me back in town for no extra charge. I didn’t want to put them to that trouble, so I declined and we caught a taxi there. When we were leaving at the end of the evening, we found out that they were dropping off another lady and her sister back in town, so we did actually get a lift with them!

@Valhalla17

Pullman resort is booked up for my dates and the Chia Laguna one is just a touch too expensive. 😪

May need to do some detective work I think.

Who did you book with? was it direct?

Oh no! That's a shame OP, sorry 😥everything has gone up, sigh

I booked with Sardaturs, maybe give them a call. They sometimes do deals and discounts www.sardatur-holidays.co.uk/

ihatethecold · 07/11/2022 06:48

Thanks I’ll take a look. I’ve been on lots of price comparison websites and all say no availability.

seems strange that it’s already fully booked 10 months in advance. I’d love to stay at the Pullman.
