Mallorca Villa Holidays

Looking for some recommendations please:
We are 2 families going to Mallorca next august. We are ideally looking for a villa with its own pool, perhaps within a resort.
Ideally we want to be able to walk to shops, bars and restaurants.
The kids will be 6 and 8 and all boys.
I have seen a nice villa near Alcudia but it's quite a long transfer for our very early morning return flight.
Any advice greatly appreciated

We just did this in August, it was lovely. Stayed at a villa called Angel Luis in Cala d'Or which was lovely and had a private pool, we booked through James Villas. Walkable to beaches and resort centre, but far enough away not to be noisy at night.

Cala d'Or was a bit commercial for my taste, but great for kids, and the beaches are beautiful and very safe apart from the occasional jellyfish! We had a fab time. Transfer was about an hour, I think. Can recommend the taxi firm we used if you want it, they were excellent.

Thanks, I had a look, looks like a lovely villa but unfortunately we need 4 bedrooms rather than 3.

I'd definitely recommend Cala d'Or for families with kids, especially at that age. My 8yo DS had the time of his life.
