Hand luggage - razors

I've read the gov site, and from my understanding disposable razor can be taken in hand luggage. I just want to double triple check, before I'm embarrassed
Will only have hand luggage and flying from Manchester.

If not permitted, anyone know if boots on airside sell razors?

Not ready to embrace my hairiness Grin

I haven't flown hand luggage only for ages but if it helps I did manage to buy a Gillette razor in Greece as I forgot to pack mine once 🤦🏻‍♀️ so even if you can't take it through all is not lost!

You could have googled that in 4 words - razors hand luggage uk.

And found the answer I just did.

Why the fuck anyone asks the opinion of mn for shit like this rather than googling and looking on the gov. website is utterly beyond me.

LittleMissGlum · 05/08/2022 04:21

@Fuuuuuckit I did, however the Manchester airport site compared to Gatwick site and gov site give me contradictory information...so does the gov information overrule the Manchester airport information or vice versa??

Ive also spent a while online trying to find whether such items are sold airside and cannot find the answer.

Thank you for your helpful input Hmm

Safety razors are fine. You can't take plain razor balder on their own, but safety razors are fine.

IDontDrinkTea · 05/08/2022 04:31

Yes, I took a razor on last week. And yes you can also buy them in boots in the airport, but they cost as much as a small mortgage 🙄

loadypoady · 05/08/2022 04:36

Yes in your clear plastic bag you can take a disposable razor. As previously stated at the airport they will be premium prices.

LadyWithLapdog · 05/08/2022 04:48

I had this in my toiletries bag. No problem flying a couple of weeks ago from Heathrow or on a couple of domestic flights where I am now. Deodorant on the other hand…Just make sure it’s a small size.

Are you going somewhere extremely remote OP?
