Snow holiday with 4 year old

Hey

Does anyone have any suggestions on a 4 day (possibly more) holiday in the snow october or november time? I'm looking for somewhere that would have activities that our 4 year old can join in too so we aren't just walking around with him being cold and miserable.
Not fussed with skiing so that doesn't need to be available.

October or November is early in the season for snow, unless you go very high or very far north. The first snows of winter fall around this time in the Alps, but they don't get any serious depth until December. How far are you prepared to travel?

Yeah I know its not ideal timing but we are going off to Australia at the end of December so ideally don't want it in the same month but could potentially do early December but not sure that would make much of a difference to the snow?
Really flexible on how far we go have no particular place in mind just want us all to enjoy it as most places a lot of fun things to do start older than 4.

Am not completely set on snowy holiday it would be my top choice but can always bin it in and go to a beach.

You might find this article helpful: Early season snow

Your best option though if you just want snow fun with your DC is probably somewhere like Lapland: Lapland Climate Info

Ruka in Finland

Somewhere with a glacier ie. Solden, Kaprun,
Obergurgl in Austria, Tignes in France, Engelberg, Saas Fee or Zermatt in Switzerland. Many lifts and hotels close mid October to end November or even mid December, What activities do you have in mind though, it would be pretty limited for a 4yo.

Thanks for all the responses, lots to look up.

Don't really fancy lapland as would like to do that when he is a bit older.

Not sure on activities, as adults we have previously done skiing, husky and reindeer rides, snow mobil which I'm sure he wouldn't be able to do any of but haven't looked it up. So sort of just wondering if there is anything to do in the snow that isn't walking around and playing in it for the entire time.
