Never been self catering before. Anyone recently been to Turkey or Greece? What are the prices for meals/drinks etc? How much to budget per day. Always been All Inc before but fancied the freedom SC offers

Went to Santorini in May. On average, we portably paid about €18 per meal in a mid-range restaurant, but it really depends where you choose to eat. If you’re on a budget, avoid any location with sunset views, or decent views in general! You will be paying more for a meal than anywhere else. About 1/3 more in fact.
We visited Crete in 2019 and couldn’t believe how cheap the street food was. For example, a huge slice of freshly made pizza was just a couple of euros. We also seemed to get loads of free food when eating out in Crete - far more than any other Greek island I have visited or the Greek mainland too.......so you will get a small plate of starters either olives or small meze dishes and after your meal some places will give you a free pudding, perhaps fruit or a small portion of cake!
