Hi All - wondering if anyone could advise. My DH and I are thinking of going to Elounda Bay in Crete in September, with our DD who will be 1 in July. Unfortunately we cant afford a villa there! - will it be OK to be in a room with regard to feeding our DD?? Ok to feed her out at restaurants? Or should we go for our other option - which is getting a villa elsewhere (much cheaper than this hotel which has villas that we just cant stretch to) where I can cook for her. I just really really fancy meals in restaurants with babysitter and not having to self-cater, but dont want to spend holiday stressed about her meals!
Any advice VERY gratefully received!

We took ds1 to turkey when he was 14 months, we went self catering and took him out at night time with us to restaurants. He ate bits of what we ate, and he would sit in a highchair and have his tea while we had ours, it was lovely to all eat out together.

I personally would never do the one hotel room again - when the little one goes to bed, you have to creep around in the dark, drinking wine in the ensuite!

Its always self catering for us!

I would go for the hotel and be waited on.

When dd was this age, she ate with us from the hotel buffet and then we'd go for a walk, she'd fall asleep in her buggy and we'd find a bar. She just transferred into her cot in the room when we were ready to go to bed.

thanks for your thoughts ladies. I have to say, aznerak, thats exactly my DHs thoughts re drinking wine in the ensuite!!!! Also now thinking no lie-ins - normally at the weekend and when we have been away, one of us will get up with dd and the other lies in - not quite as easy in one room at a hotel!!
