Covid insurance claim

I tested positive for covid last night. I was due to fly to Menorca tomorrow, and need to make an insurance claim, but they're asking for a medical certificate or 'official' test result. I'm not sure what these mean at the moment, when you can't get PCR's like you used to, and I'm not sure my doctor will write me a certificate without one. Anyone done this and able to advise?

Ask the insurers what they accept? You'll probably have to pay for either an antigen or PCR test, whichever they specify, from the likes of Randox. You can get results within x number of hours.
