Easyjet moved flight - parking and added costs

I have just had an email from easyjet saying they have cancelled our flights from Luton to Greece in August and have instead put us on flights from Gatwick coming back on the same day but leaving a day earlier. This means I will have to pay for an extra nights accommodation (if they have any availability) and my parking that I had paid for at Luton (months in advance so I got a great price) is now no good and I'll have to pay for parking at Gatwick, plus an extra night at the dog sitters (again if they have space). This is going to end up costing me quite a lot of money extra, can I claim any of this back from easyjet or from my insurance or do I just have to pay out myself?

I don't know the answer, but I'm in a similar boat! Easyjet have moved our return flight to Gatwick airport, which would be fine if our car wasn't going to be parked at Luton..
We have managed to change our outbound flight to Gatwick, but parking at Gatwick is so much more expensive 😩

You might be able to put in a claim if you keep your receipts: look at their compensation policies www.easyjet.com/en/claim/welfare

My family had flights cancelled at the last minute and within a few weeks easyjet had repaid them for the additional money they had to pay for a new flight on a different airline and 220 compensation per passengers (as it was a last minute cancellation). We were a bit shocked at how little hassle and how quick it was...

Thank you both for your reply. I have checked through all the terms and conditions from easyjet and unfortunately we are not eligible for any compensation from them as they have given us more than two weeks notice of the change (we could get a full refund if we wanted but we actually really want to go on holiday). I have also checked with our insurance and again we can't claim anything there but I guess that depends on your individual policy. Sadly that means we've just got to suck up the extra costs.

We had a similar issue a few weeks back. Because the flight was arriving in Olbia out of hours we had to pay 50 euro extra to collect car late and then another 50 euro to have the villa keys late.
