Just wanted some thoughts...We're going to thailand next week and yesterday i noticed a chance for an elephant ride through jungle. 'Great' i thought, dd would love it. She's 2.5. When told Dh, he went slightly white and said hmmm. Am i being irresponible to want to take her on? They're only little ones, and tame, but I guess I see his reservations.

I wouldn't personally...I remember when we went on elephants in SE Asia, one of them got spooked and bolted - the two grown women on it were absolutely terrified and quite badly hurt...I think that would stick in my mind too much! The same thing happened to my cousin in India..
