Passport Anxiety

So I'm not due to fly until 25th August. The other day I realised there was an ink stain on the photo page! Did an online application on Wednesday and sent my old passport away yesterday.
I've seen so many people say they haven't received there passport even after the 10 week mark so am really panicking.
This was going to be me and my partners first holiday together that we really had to save for. I know its completely my fault and I should of applied sooner :( has anyone recently applied for their passport and its arrived without difficulty.

Relax. I sent mine and ds’s off (to Bootle and Peterborough) and got them both back two weeks’ later. DD’s has gone off, and we are still waiting (first passports take longer) - but I am not panicking yet (we fly on 30th July). DH has just realised that he has lost his and managed to book a fast track appointment.
