I've been 3 times in October. The weather has been fab.

remember that Orlando is not on the coast, so hurricanes not so much of a problem

We had very mixed weather last October 21-30 (torrential rain some days but probably more sun or dry weather than rain overall) but I have been in October before and had great weather. Go to the TripPlanner option on wunderground.com and type in the dates of your proposed trip plus the destination/location, Orlando, and you will be given the weather history for that region over the past 5 years. Hope that helps.

Height of hurricane season is very end of Aug and first half of Septmeber if I remember rightly. We went end of October a number of years back and the weather was wonderful. Far more settled than it is if we go in the summer holidays.
