Anyone been to Ixia, Rhodes?

First trip in September with almost three year old, staying in Ixia. Never been to Greece, excited to go somewhere new, even if it's all inclusive! Has anyone been? Any recommendations for things to do outside the hotel?

Ixia is just a long strip with a fairly narrow beach. Its very close to Rhodes Town which is lovely for a wander through the cobbled streets, and I would definitely do a boat trip to Symi (we stayed for a couple of nights, was beautiful).

Rhodes town is nice and rent a car and go down to the archeological site in the south of the island (take hats and a sunshade/umbrella for your little one, it was baking hot) I've stayed in ixia, quieter than the other side, I wasn't AI and there's nice bars and restaurants to grab food too

We stayed in the Sheraton in Ixia on a last minute AI package. It’s quite a nice area, easy to get the bus into Rhodes town (we walked back but it was a long and boring walk as the road doesn’t follow the sea the whole way). Rhodes Town is lovely, we went to an outdoor art gallery with shaded courtyards and it saved us in the midday heat.
We hired a car and went round the island in a day which was plenty of time (we excluded Rhodes Town). There are loads of little archeological sites just off the main road to go and look at, we stopped at a few, also Prasonisi beach (huge and windswept), Lindos, Anthony Quinn bay (tiny and best early or late as it’ll be packed but we had the whole bay to ourselves in the late afternoon).
Rhodes is a great size to explore in a day, leaving the rest of the time to relax. We hired an automatic car as wrong side of the road/car coupled with small hilly roads was enough without gears to contend with.

Yes to hiring a car to explore other parts of the island. The beach all along Ixia is pebble / shale to get little swim shoes for your toddler if you intend to use the beach.
