Honestly, I'd have to buy a seat. We had DS on our laps for a 4.5 hour flight at 6 months' old and I told myself never, ever again. Covid hit, so we never had to do it, but if we have another, I'll absolutely be buying a seat on the flight plus a car seat to put them in to save the hassle 😂

Snacks
Small hand held toys
iPad
Change of clothes (for you both)

Are your flights booked? Night time flights work best for us.

Took DD Jamaica when she was 10 months. Didn't buy a seat but there were quite a few family members on board with us. Not that she spent much time with them.

We walked up and down the aisle lots and ate snacks.

Pre- made bottles were a must. Ordered loads from boots and collected after security.

Extra blanket for the awful aircon and thick socks x

Small fiddly snacks that are time consuming should help like boxes of raisins or cheerios in one of those snack pots abs download a few tv programmes.
