Child Passport Application - Photo Verification

Hoping someone can help, please?
I applied for online renewals for both my children, 14 and 11, but I was only asked for photo verification for the 11 year old, not the 14 year old. Worried I might have missed a step on the application, although I went through it slowly and carefully! Does anyone know if older children aren't required to have their photo verified?

As you go through the whole process, you can't skip a step. It tells you exactly what to do when. Dont worry.

I've just done both my dc age 13 and 10.
Only 10 year old needed ID verification. Over 12s don't need it.
