easy jet carry on bag recommendations?
happyjack12 · 21/04/2022 17:29
Hi, going away for 2 nights to channel islands, what bag have you used on Easy Jet that fits with their " fits under the seat " criteria please? low cost if possible too.
TIA

I've got a similar bag to this :-
www.amazon.co.uk/Highbury-Lightweight-Approved-Luggage-Multi-Colour/dp/B00KPWIY1A/ref=sr_1_4?crid=22IMO6TFMATVU&%3Bkeywords=highbury%20flight%20bag&%3Bqid=1650564445&%3Bsprefix=highbury%20flight%20bag%2Caps%2C59&%3Bsr=8-4&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21
Perfect for me/us. Very lightweight, squashy so it will go in o/h lockers, capacious.

We have a few Cabin Max bags... they are designed to exact airline specifications. Make sure you get the right size (not the specifications from a few years ago)

For two nights we just use rucksacks, which surely you or a friend/family member already has? As long as it's broadly the right size and not overstuffed so it will squash if necessary will be fine.

DH has the Cabin Max Metz 20l Ryanair sized bag - plenty big enough for a couple of nights away, lots of pockets and it unzips like a small case. It also comes in a 30l size that fits EasyJet requirements.

Yes I think any 20-30 litre fabric backpack would be fine as long as it can be squashed. You can fit more in than you think!

I use a backpack. Fill it to the brim and even if it measures bigger than technically allowed, keep it on your back and literally nobody will check. Then stuff it under the seat once on the plane. Or, even better, place it in the overhead locker as anyone sat behind row 12 will not have any bigger luggage allowance so the lockers will be virtually empty of any suitcases.
