Booking a hire car

Silly question, but if you book a hire car for collection from the airport terminal, what times do you put in? The time your flight lands, or factor in a buffer for getting out of the airport? Similarly, when dropping it off do you put several hours before your flight time? Never flown non-package before

I usually give myself time to get my bags etc but they usually start the time as the time you sign the papers(ipad nowadays).It's booked in 24 hour blocks so for example I'd put down midday to be brought back a week later at midday.

I usually put in about half an hour after landing to collect and two hours before departure to drop off. They sometimes ask for flights as well, so would know if you were delayed.

Also look at Insurance4hire or similar
You pay the same for an annual policy as most car hire companies charge for a single trip for additional insurance
