Sorrento - Massa Lubrense?

Has anyone stayed in Massa Lubrense while holidaying in the Sorrento area?
Holiday is 1 week in June, we will be flying into Naples and want to do a few day trips into Naples, Pompei, Herculaneum, Vesuvius, Capri etc. From what I've read Sorrento can be very busy/touristy and Massa Lubrense came up as a nice quiet village out of the way but with good bus connections?
Does anyone have any experience? Any other ideas of where to stay or things to do in the area?

Massa Lubrense is an area with several villages. We have stayed in Torca and ILs have family in Nerano. Personally I prefer the area to Sorrento which is too busy for me. Bus service is good as are taxis.

We stayed in Sant Agata.We had a car but the village is easily walkable and there are lots of buses.We drive to the beach one day and we're very sorry not to have gone by bus as the roads were very narrow.It is a beautiful part of the world.It does get very hot so bear that in mind when you are looking at accommodation.I was happier being up out of Sorrento which is very busy with tourists .There are a lot of excursions to do from there so clarify how easy it is to get to the railway station or bus depot ( depending on whether you are heading north to Naples/ Herculaneum/Vesuvius/Pompeii or south to Amalfi ,Positano,Ravello,Salerno.)

I went to Italy 3 years ago, and stayed in Convents and Monasteries! The one in the link, is just outside Sorrento, and was like a fancy hotel - beautiful location on the cliffs, with bar, restaurant, and private gardens. Close to the railway station for easy access to Vesuvius, Herculaneum and Pompéi. I see there is another Monastery Stay nearby in Massa Lubrense.
