Lovely holidays with 2yo?

Can anyone recommend somewhere lovely to go on holiday with a 2 year old where there is some form of childcare / play options for part of the day and evening babysitting service? Would love France, or possibly Greece. Overall would love self catering / villa with pool and countryside plus nice places to visit. The chance to have a family holiday but also for husband and I to get a bit of a break too.

I know there are some reeeeeeeally expensive places, so interested in mid range prices options too! (If they exist!)

Yelloh villages are brilliant for family holidays. There are so many throughout France, and they are 3, 4 or 5 star. You usually have a choice of the kind of accommodation you want, lots of things to do for children, restaurants and cafes on site, swimming pools and more. Staying at one of those is always a good base to go and explore town and cities near by. I would highly recommend taking a look.

But having said all that I am not sure if they offer babysitting, at their Yelloh Village resorts.

Thanks @Wren44 we are definitely looking for an option of babysitting and a crèche type place for the odd morning, but I will check this place out.

Just had a quick look. I think they look great but possibly a bit too big and "holiday park" type thing for us? I think we are looking more for accommodation plus the child care on site, rather than the discos, water slides, cartoon characters etc! Perhaps when DD is older! Also their kids club seems to be for ages 5+ anyway.
