Florida - Naples or Saint Augustine For Short Visit
Brycare · 05/04/2022 20:46
Hi.
For those of you familiar with Florida - if you had 2 days to spend in either Naples or Saint Augustine which would you choose?
I'll be on my own and looking to basically chill out in the downtown area in either place, eating some nice food and basically just pottering around a nice town. Will include a few chill out hours either by a hotel pool or beach. But want to be walking distance to downtown.
Leaning towards Naples only because the beach is walkable from downtown. I have no flights booked yet but no matter which airport I fly into flight duration and prices are similar, so that is not a consideration.
TIA

I preferred St Augustine, so much to see and potter around. Naples we did just pretty much seem to do pool & beach.
It was a few years ago though, but I’ve always said I’d love to go back to St Augustine.

Former Floridian here. There is much more to do and see in St. Augustine.

I love Naples! Stay at the Inn on Fifth which is in the middle of all shops and restaurants and a 5 minute walk to the beach (or the hotel will take you and set you up with chairs).
I have lots of restaurant recommendations if you do decide to go to Naples. Fort Myers is the nearest airport, from Miami or Tampa you'd need a rental car.
