I know i have a silly question but i am starting to panic.
My son has just turned 12 and he is having his first covid jab tomorrow.
From what I have understood, while my husband, my other son (double jabbed) and myself are okay as the NHS covid pass will be recognised, my 12yo son will have to do a LFT 48 hours before boarding.
Since I have not travelled since July 2020, can someone tell me who do I show this test? (i guess i will receive an email with QR code).
Thanks

Note that the test should be done 48hrs or less before time of arrival, not landing. I doubt it would be picked up on, but just to be on safe side.

It will depend on airline. Ryanair used to check passes etc before boarding; now they don’t check and they just get checked at Italian passport control.

Ryanair do have a system for uploading your Covid documents to your boarding pass, for eg, which is handy.

He'll also have to do one in Italy every 48 hours in order to access places where a Green Pass is still required.

True. Restaurants etc check this very carefully, often before you’re even seated. Most farmacie will do them.

I went to Italy in Feb with my 12vyr old and 10 years old. Did the ltf with online testing company, got certificate back. No one asked to see it, at uk departures, or arrival in Milan. Very odd! Was fine though. Easy. Remember it's the law to wear fp22 mask on flights to Italy. And you green pass on your phone to.do anything in Italy, have a coffee, buy stamps at the post office, as I found out!

Thank you all. Yes, the rules for green pass/super green pass have changed today so surgical masks are ok apart from flights and transports.

What about the Passenger Locator form? When is the best day to complete it? 2 days before departure? I don’t want to leave everything at the last moment.

You can do the locator form now. Can add your child onto yours.
