Birmingham Airport fast Passes

Its a little while yet before we fly from Birmingham but seeing many threads about how bad different Airports are for getting through security/fast passes, I am looking into getting fast passes. I've never done this before and never knew it was a thing until now but from what I've heard airports sound a nightmare atm.

If the flight is at 8.05am what time would you get fast passes for? Is it worth it or is Birmingham OK compared to Heathrow and Manchester.

Did a 7.45 flight from Birmingham last Saturday, there was no queue through passport control.

That's great to know beebumble2, I guess as it's smaller probably doesn't have the same issues.

I flew from Birmingham last week for a 7:00 flight. Arrived at security at around 4:00- 4:30 after hearing the news about Manchester and there was barely any queue at all, pretty much straight through. Friend who I was meeting at the airport had the same experience about 45 minutes later.

Has anyone flown from BHX this week?
We fly to France on Sunday - I'm dreading it.

Im a but worried the fast passes might be slower if they're funnelling loads of people towards 2 fast pass gates, rather than the million regular ones?

I flew within the last week and the queue was massive for security. I had already pre-purchased fast track so walked straight through but my flight was delayed by 45 mins because so many passengers were held up in it.

Thanks @LucyLocketLostThePlot - fast track appears to have sold out, I'm always behind the curve on these things.

No idea what to do for the best - every man & his dog will be getting there 5 hours early by the sound of it.
