Could anyone recommend somewhere for a beach holiday in Europe in May half term? We have a toddler and don’t want to hire a car if possible.
Looking for somewhere interesting, pretty, relaxed etc, easy to get to on a train!
Any ideas appreciated

Sitges. Just south of Barcelona. Very classy , lovely beaches and no need for a car

Do want to get there by train? Juan Les Pins/Antibes/St Raphael are all on the line in to Nice. I've been to Siblu La Carabasse on the train. Then a taxi from Agde station. And also along the Italian riviera by train after flying into Nice. Loano/Ceriale have nice sandy beaches. Argeles Sur Mer is another possibility.

Anywhere along med coast France then you can visit other resorts by train if you wish.
Barcelona is the obvious one for 'interest' in Spain but up towards cadaques etc provides a lovely holiday with the option to use public transport for day trips.
Ligurian coast also has nice beaches and lots of day trips.
