Travelling to US how do I keep 7m-o on his schedule?!

Due to be going to Florida in a few weeks with DH who is going on business. Thought it might be nice for DS and I to go to as it'll be only for 5 days. How do I best keep DS on some kind of schedule whilst we're away, and how do we get him back on UK time afterwards.....any pearls very welcome!

If you're only going for 5 days then I'd probably live with a displaced schedule. Going over should be OK - he'll probably sleep on the plane for a bit, and ideally you'll try to keep him awake until you check in etc. But you're going to have some early mornings for a few days. US business hotels tend to have blackout curtains.

Enjoy Florida! you lucky thing, don't worry about the schedule. Pleanty of time for that when you get back. Or you can bring me along to help with the schedule?

thanks for the encouragement, have heard some horror stories from friends crossing the Atlantic and then having a dreadful time of it re sleep on arrival!

It is the trip back that you have to watch out for - but at least then ds will be back at home. FWIW I would think about how his meals/feeds are spaced out and stick to a similar 3.5 hour pattern or whatever. You will probably be thinking about his sleep more, but actually it is his digestive system you need to thin about more as if he gets constipated etc it is harder.
